Here’s who I am and what I do
About Me
My name is Caroline, but I go by my middle name, Grace. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in December of 2022 with my Bachelors in Science, majoring in Exercise Science. I recently started working as a Patient Care Technician at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC and I absolutely love it. I am working in the acute cardiac care unit and as of now, I plan on furthering my career in Cardiology. I have always held an interest in medical field and discovered that becoming a Physician Assistant aligns with my goals.
Interests
Staying Active
I love to be outdoors any chance I can. When I’m not working, you can find me at the beach, in the gym, or taking walks around town with friends. One of the many things I love about living in Charleston is the plethora of outdoor activities available here— it has made my recent move so enjoyable. One of my favorite outdoor activities to do is scuba diving. My family takes annual trips to find new shipwrecks to dive at, and there is a picture of us at one below!
Friends and Family
Finding a work-life balance is very important to me. I love to work and learn, but making time for my family and friends is something I highly value in my life. I love connecting with new people everywhere I go. I have a very close bond with my family and I love every second I get to spend with them. Animals
Growing up, my family has always had pets in the house. We are a strong believer in rescuing animals in need, so I found a real bond between myself and animals at a young age. I rescued a kitten that I found outside in 2007 and she just made the move to Charleston with me this year! Her name is Ruby and she is my whole world. You can find a picture of Ruby enjoying a car ride with me below.
My Goals
My current goal is to get accepted into the Physician Assistant Program at the Medical University of South Carolina. As a patient care technician, I am currently learning about the importance of patient care and doing everything in my ability to make the patients I see comfortable and content daily. My long term goal is to become an attentive, empathetic, and bright Physician Assistant that makes my patients feel valued, cared for, and ultimately happy and healthy.
